Managing the ag plot requires a sound knowledge of the physical and behavioural needs of the animals kept on the plot. Teachers who have this responsibility need to stay up-to-date as new knowledge and information becomes available. The aim of this section is help teachers access this information and to provide advice that may assist best-practice in the management of the school ag plot.
For each of the issues listed below, general advice and examples of how different schools manage these issues are included. It should be noted that these are only examples of how each school manages the particular issue. There are many other ways and systems that may also be appropriate.
