Background

The Professional Learning Exchange (PLE), announced by the Minister for Education and Training on 16 March 2004, provides access to information on professional learning opportunities that are available from DET Regions and State Office Directorates and other providers such as TAFE Institutes, universities and professional teacher associations.

The structure of PLE reflects DET professional learning priorities. The PLE search engine helps pinpoint the most suitable and cost-effective opportunities for professional learning.

Phase 1 is the current phase. It represents the pilot phase of the PLE. Here you will find professional learning opportunities offered by Regional Offices and State Office Directorates of the NSW Department of Education and Training.

Phase 2 will provide professional learning opportunities offered by TAFE and external providers including universities, professional teacher associations and through EdNA.
