Yenda Public School represented the Riverina Region at the Showcase09 videoconference which linked ten schools from each region. Opened by the Minister for Education and Training, Verity Firth, the Showcase celebrated the Education Week focus on the environment.

Cassandra Year 11, Wagga Wagga High School, Riverina Region, travelled to Sydney and worked with Des Gorman as the General Manager, Learning and Development for a Day. Cassandra was assisted by Nathan from Smiths Hill High School, Illawarra South East Region.
