North Sydney Boys High School represented the Northern Sydney Region at the Showcase09 videoconference which linked ten schools from each region. Opened by the Minister for Education and Training, Verity Firth, the Showcase celebrated the Education Week focus on the environment.

Judy King hosted Jeremy Morgan as her Principal for a Day at Riverside Girls High School. Jeremy is the General Manager, Eli Lilly Australia and New Zealand.

Patricia Forsythe, Executive Director, Sydney Chamber of Commerce, met with the Killarney Heights High School prefects and Principal, Kim Jackson, as well as performing other duties as Principal for a Day.
