Education Week in Northern Sydney Region
Education Week Showcase09 North Sydney Boys High School represented the Northern Sydney Region at the Showcase09 videoconference which linked ten schools from each region. Opened by the Minister for Education and Training, Verity Firth, the Showcase celebrated the Education Week focus on the environment.
Director-General for a Day and associated programs Cameron, Killara High School worked with Trevor Fletcher as Deputy Director-General for a Day.
Rebecca, Chatswood High School, performed duties as the Director, Curriculum for a Day, guided by Ken Olah.
Principal for a Day
Judy King hosted Jeremy Morgan as her Principal for a Day at Riverside Girls High School. Jeremy is the General Manager, Eli Lilly Australia and New Zealand.
Patricia Forsythe, Executive Director, Sydney Chamber of Commerce, met with the Killarney Heights High School prefects and Principal, Kim Jackson, as well as performing other duties as Principal for a Day.
Tony Stuart, Group Chief Executive Officer, NRMA Motoring Australia, was the Principal for a Day at Balgowlah Heights Public School and was congratulated on his contribution by students.
Robyn Hughes and students from North Sydney Boys High School complete a busy schedule with their Principal for a Day, Professor Fred Hilmer, Vice Chancellor, University of New South Wales.
Back to School Minister, Verity Firth shares memories of her school with current students at Artarmon Public School.
Minister Verity Firth also returned to North Sydney Girls High School "It has always been a really great school for girls.....I made some of my best friends here, who I'm still in contact with.....I'm nostalgic about the friendships I made and the great teachers."
