State Dance Festival is a showcase of dance from Kindergarten to year 12 from government schools across New South Wales.
The festival takes place at the Seymour Centre in Sydney and has close to a thousand students from all over New South Wales participating and displaying their talent and enthusiasm for dance.
The State Dance Festival aims to:
- Demonstrate the outcomes of dance curricula in NSW public schools
- Encourage the pursuit of excellence in dance
- Support the continuing development of dance in schools
- Provide an opportunity for talented students to engage in quality performance in a professional venue.
