The School Sport Foundation offers exceptional opportunities through sporting and active, healthy lifestyle programs at all levels of the NSW public school system.

The Arts Education Foundation provides a link with a wide range of high-profile arts programs and events with total audiences of over one million.

The Web Design Awards encourage teachers and students to actively engage with the Internet, to become familiar with web design tools and better understand the new order of communications.

A new activity focus for K-6 literacy, the Premier's Spelling Bee begins with school-based activities and leads to a State competition for public schools.  The Spelling Bee provides an engaging and fun way for students to develop and showcase their skills in spelling.

The Sustainable Schools Program establishes a pathway for school communities to follow in order to turn their schools into an "ecologically sustainable facility".

This program is an initiative of the Premier and aims to encourage young people's interest in reading. The Premier's Reading Challenge plays an important role in developing literacy levels.
