Brett Lee has risen to national and international fame as one of the cricket world's most exciting fast pace bowlers. In his debut Test innings against India, Brett took five wickets for 47.

The speed that Brett generates when bowling is in excess of 145 kilometres per hour. In April 2000, playing against South Africa in Johannesburg, he bowled one delivery at 156 kilometres per hour.

Brett is the younger brother of Shane Lee who was regarded as one of Australia's leading all-rounders. In their spare time Brett and Shane are members of a rock band called Six and Out.

Brett's former high school, Oak Flats, honoured him by naming the school oval after him.
