Choosing a team

All teams will must have a teacher as an adviser and may also receive assistance from community members. The teacher is to be the only point of contact between the team and competition organisers.

Teams may be created by students or teachers. When looking at selecting team members, try to resist the temptation to choose only people with advanced knowledge of the Internet or computers.

Remember that creating a web site is a cooperative exercise with numerous roles and responsibilities.

Team members will have to research the topic, create graphics for the site, prepare text and graphics, and then create the individual pages.

Each role is equally important.

A good idea is to choose one person to oversee all aspects of the development of the site to ensure a coordinated approach to the topic.

The most successful approach to designing a web site is through cooperation and coordination.
