TemplatesOne of the most efficient ways of creating and maintaining a constant look or theme throughout a site is to use a common template. These are simple to create and will also help to eliminate the differences in the way browsers render the page. To create a template, draw up a table to accommodate the text, navigation bar, heading and graphics. Change the border of the table to zero. This will mean that the table can be seen in the HTML editor but it won't be visible in a browser. Users will only see the page with a heading, text and graphics placed the way they are intended to appear, when it is viewed in a browser. Don't forget to make multiple copies of the template just in case it happens to get renamed or deleted. |
