NAPLAN for parents

NAPLAN tests will be held on 15-17 May 2012 for students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9.

Parents or carers of students who sit for the NAPLAN tests will receive a written report of their child's achievement in September 2012.

The 2012 - 2020 NAPLAN test dates are now available.

The student report will show your child's results in the key areas of reading, writing, language conventions and numeracy. The report also shows the national average, the range of results for the middle 60% of students nationally and your school's average for each test. That means you'll be able to clearly see how your child compares with other students in the same year of schooling.

An additional report lists all the questions in the test, along with a brief description of each question and shows you which questions your child answered correctly. A common assessment scale is used on each NAPLAN report so that you can track your child's progress through the years.
