Interstate or overseas students (Australian citizens or permanent residents temporarily living interstate or overseas) who are unable to take the Selective High School Placement Test will be considered by the selection committee through either the interstate and overseas procedures or the illness/misadventure procedures.

Interstate and overseas students

To use the illness/misadventure procedure students must have attended a NSW primary school during Year 5 and must have school assessment scores which can be moderated.

To use the interstate and overseas procedure you should contact the Unit for an emailed application form and download from the Unit's website an interstate and overseas report of academic merit form.

Interstate and overseas report of academic merit (pdf 284kb).

You should also arrange, at your own expense, for individual and standardised testing of your child by a registered psychologist or other qualified practitioner.

You need to complete both the Interstate and overseas: report of academic merit form and the standard application form available on request from the Unit.
