Action by Primary School Principals
When you hand the application form back to your
child's primary school with your section completed, your child's principal should provide school assessment scores and may provide comments for English and mathematics based on the child's school performance.
These school assessment scores will be moderated (scaled) according to the performance of the children from your child's primary school in the English language and mathematics parts of the test. Moderating the school assessment scores makes them comparable statewide and gives school assessment scores and test marks in English and mathematics equal weighting.
Where primary school assessment scores are not available,
applications will be considered on the basis of the Opportunity Class Placement Test and other relevant information.
Principals may also comment on a number of matters including the child's performance in areas of the school curriculum other than English and mathematics.
