All applicants using the paper application form, whether from government or non-government primary schools, are required to submit their application forms to their current primary schools for processing and forwarding to the Unit.

Government primary school principals will go online to process all applications, whether submitted online or on paper. Principals should provide school assessment scores and may provide comments where considered relevant.

These school assessment scores will be moderated (scaled) according to the performance of the children from your child's primary school in the English language and mathematics parts of the test. Moderating the school assessment scores makes them comparable statewide and gives school assessment scores and test marks in English and mathematics equal weighting.

Where primary school assessment scores are not available, applications will be considered on the basis of the Opportunity Class Placement Test and/or other relevant information.
