History

Students studying History evaluate the ideas and processes used by historians to produce history then apply what they have learned to enquire into areas of historical interest.

Students will also appreciate the value of history for:

  • critical interpretation of the contemporary world;
  • the way history has been recorded over time;
  • and the contribution of historical studies towards life-long learning.

Syllabus Resources

A syllabus is a document that gives teachers an outline of what students are to be taught in a specific learning area.

The syllabus and other supporting material for History 7-10 is available from the Board of Studies.
