This big book kit for Years 1-2 explores the safe use and storage of medicines.

The kit contains: a big book illustrated in colour, six small copies of the big book, an audio tape containing a narration of the story, a teacher's manual which includes lessons and background information, and two posters to help students recognise medicines and first aid equipment.

Drug education: an annotated bibliography for K-12 teachers (1999)

The annotated bibliography assists teachers in the selection of resources for drug education from Kindergarten to Year 12. The document contains reviews of non-fiction, fiction, internet sites and other resources relevant to teaching drug education.

Sample units of work for Stage 2 (Years 3-4) and Stage 5 (Years 9-10) are also included. These units are intended to demonstrate how literature can be used as a medium for teaching drug education.
