The National Year of Reading is about everyone enjoying reading, and for keen readers to find new sources of inspiration. It's about supporting reading initiatives while respecting the oral tradition of storytelling. It's about helping people discover and rediscover the magic of books and stories anywhere, anytime. And most of all, it's about Australians becoming a nation of readers.

The Department of Education and Communities is a National Year of Reading partner and will be part of activities throughout the year.

Our staff and teachers provide a wide range of high interest reading programs and initiatives to our diverse student community and will be promoting many activities and resources to support the National Year of Reading.
