Parents will soon be able to read, hear, watch and download information relevant to raising school-aged children and managing school life in a new monthly e-zine.

Parents + School will soon be available on the NSW public schools website, www.schools.nsw.edu.au. It is a fresh and friendly publication that promotes the partnership between schools and families working together to enhance students’ learning and school experience.

Next month’s first edition will feature articles on ways parents can build a relationship with their child’s teacher, ideas to promote literacy with young children while shopping, tools to help children get organised, a downloadable  daily planner and activities to do with children.

Each article links to more information available on the education department website and to translated information. Each edition will answer parents’ questions with the first edition informing them about national testing. The e-zine will include podcasts of entertaining interviews with well known personalities and recipes from a variety of chefs for the perfect lunchbox.
