NSW CONSTITUTION WEBSITE

This website was designed by the NSW Department of Education and Training.

The purpose of the website is to inform the public, in general, and schools in particular, about the NSW constitution and its relevance to contemporary society.

The content approach of the website is to examine issues in the public domain that have are based on the NSW Constitution. Six issues have been chosen to illustrate the scope and power of the Constitution:

Each issue starts with a feature article, from the print media and is supported by:

• background briefing [including background to the issue and its constitutional basis]
• interviews from experts on the issue
• media comment [print and broadcast media items]
• popular opinion [letters to editor and how would you vote]
• e-files [quiz, teaching ideas, activities, glossary, FAQs].
