MEDIA RELEASE

The Indonesian Consul General in Sydney, Mr. Wardana was pleased by the
response to the tsunami disaster from the Australian people and
government who made an overwhelming contribution to nations affected by
the tragedy, including Indonesia. He said he deeply appreciated the
generosity of Australians and welcomed the willingness of local
authorities in Sydney to assist the relief effort in Indonesia. He also
paid tribute to the response from the Indonesian community, who
collected donations through the Indonesia Tsunami Appeal Committee.

Since the establishment of the ITA Committee on 29 December 2004, it has
raised a total of A$ 64,121.85 (as of 20 January 2005). Ms. Siti Sofia
Sudarma, the coordinator of the committee, said she is expecting more
donations from upcoming events, and at the end of January 2005 the first
disbursement of money will go to charity organizations in Indonesia to
help the people affected by the tsunami in Aceh and North Sumatra as
they rebuild in the wake of the disaster.

Indonesia was the worst nation hit by the tsunami. The death toll has
reached more than 166,320 in the provinces of Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam
and North Sumatra and it may be some time before more definite numbers
are known. To assist those in dire circumstances, the Consulate General
of the Republic of Indonesia and the Indonesian community in Sydney have
formed a committee; the Indonesia Tsunami Appeal comprised of a
cross-section of community representatives, including students, business
people, teachers and the broader community on the whole.

The committee's term of reference is to raise funds to assist victims of
tsunami disaster in Indonesia; and will operate for the following three
months. To facilitate donations, a trust account has been opened by the
Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia, Sydney. The details of
the trust account are as follows:
