Dear Colleagues

At the 8th conference of the Australian Society of Indonesian Language
Educators Curtin University - Perth, Western Australia, 3-5 July 2005, I am
organizing a panel titled "Bahasa Indonesia Online". For further information
about ASILE 2005, please check out : http://www.ASILE.curtin.edu.au

The proposed "Bahasa Indonesia Online" panel seeks to bring together
educators who have been involved in developing instructional materials using
the World Wide Web (also known as the Internet). The Internet becomes
increasingly important in the field of language teaching and teachers have
used it to enhance traditional language instruction by adding supplementary
online materials to their courses, including audio, video, and interactive
exercises using a large range of available technology such as java script,
flash etc., and various software packages based on these technologies to
develop interactive quizzes, games, and puzzles.
Learning Management Systems such as Moodle, WebCt, Blackboard etc, are also
increasingly used to complement existing courses, but also to develop fully
fledged distance learning courses. Teachers ho have used any of those means
to enhance their courses are invited to join this panel.
If you are interested to share your experience please send me a short
abstract of your proposed presentation (max 200 words) and a brief biodata.

=========
The panel "Bahasa Indonesia Online" is organized by Dr Uli Kozok, Assistant
Professor in Indonesian, University of Hawaii, who is currently developing
an online distance education program for the Indonesian language.
