3 If you live in Canberra, you may be interested in the following info
supplied by John Davenport.

The Embassy of Indonesia in Canberra is offering free Bahasa Indonesia
(Indonesian Language) classes at the Embassy for University of the Third
Age Members. The only entry qualification for U3A is that you are aged
50 years or older. You also have to join U3A for the year which costs
$25. This money is used for administration. Classes proceed at a
leisurely pace and are non-threatening. You will be surprised how much
Indonesian you will acquire in a short time. All classes will make
frequent visits to the Embassy's Museum and Cultural Centre for the
cultural studies component of the course. The teachers of the language
courses are graduates from the ANU in Bahasa Indonesia and last year
completed intensive language teaching training in Yogyakarta in
Indonesia. The classes start in the week beginning Monday 21st February.
