________________________________ From: Nusa Alam [mailto:nusaalam at yahoo.com] Sent: Wednesday, 14 September 2005 2:45 PM To: Asia EdNet Subject: [asia-ednet] Teaching vacancy in Indonesia --------------------------------- Asia EdNet Discussion Group --------------------------------- Sekolah Nusa Alam, set in the rice fields near the beach on the small island of Lombok, Indonesia, is a 'National Plus' school with a roll of 80 children aged between three and thirteen. We have a vacancy arising in January 2006 for a native English speaking class teacher of Year 1 and 2 students, aged 6 to 8. Our preference is for someone with class teaching experience at this level with some knowledge of Indonesian. Experience of multi-age and team teaching would also be an advantage as we follow a system of team teaching with an Indonesian and an English native speaking teacher in each 2- or 3-year unit. Our curriculum is an amalgam of those from UK, Australia and Indonesia. All children are taught in both English and Indonesian by the relevant native speaker, with consideration being made as to their planned future in the Indonesian or international system. Teachers are employed on a contract basis, with salary dependent on qualifications and experience. Working permits and visas are provided by the school and allowances are paid for housing and home leave travel. We offer discounted places for teachers' children attending our school. The great lifestyle comes free! Lombok is indeed a cheap and beautiful place to live. Our school is an expanding and successful venture in which we are all happy to play a part. In spite of the unsettled state of the world recently, we live in harmony with our neighbours and are warmly received by the local people. If you are interested in applying for the position, please send your full CV, including e-mail contact details for referees. We will also be pleased to forward any further information about the school. The closing date for applications is 30 September 2005. Pearl L Daphne Head Teacher Sekolah Nusa Alam, Jl. Pantai, Meninting 83355, Lombok, Indonesia e-mail: nusaalam at yahoo.com <mailto:nusaalam at yahoo.com> telephone: +62 370647514 / 647510 fax:+62 370647514 --- You are currently subscribed to asia-ednet as: leonie.wittman at det.nsw.edu.au.
