Sekolah Nusa Alam, set in the rice fields near the beach on the small island of Lombok, Indonesia, is a 'National Plus' school  with a roll of 80 children aged between three and thirteen.

 

We have a vacancy arising in January 2006 for a native English speaking teacher to be involved with our Kindergarten class of 3 and 4 year olds in the mornings and our 5 to 7 year olds in the afternoons.  Our preference is for someone with some knowledge of Indonesian.  Experience of multi-age and team teaching would also be an advantage.  



Teachers are employed on a contract basis, with salary dependent on qualifications and experience.  Working permits and visas are provided by the school and allowances are paid for housing and home leave travel.  We offer discounted places for teachers' children attending our school.  The great lifestyle comes free!



Lombok is indeed a cheap and beautiful place to live.  Our school is an expanding and successful venture in which we are all happy to play a part.  In spite of the unsettled state of the world recently, we live in harmony with our neighbours and are warmly received by the local people.
