Dear all, For those of you who teach Indonesian at high school level you may be interested in an upcoming teaching position at St Joseph's Catholic High School in Albion Park, near Wollongong. Indonesian is very popular at St Josephs and has classes from Year 7 through to Year 12. The current teacher (me) will be leaving to take up a position in Darwin. St Joseph's is an enthusiastic school in terms of language, and the administration and other staff are very supportive of the language department. For 2006, Year 7 has approx. 25 in each class, Yr 8 has 30 (and there are 3 Yr 8 classes), Year 9 has 25, Yr 11 has 14 and Yr 12 has 9. The students are well behaved and there is an excellent discipline system.I have actually found it to be very easy teaching here. St Joseph's is located in a beautiful area - close to Wollongong and Kiama. I hope some of you consider applying! If you are interested, please contact me.
