Internationally acclaimed Indonesian shadow puppeteer tours schools
nationally!

 

May sees the beginning of a six month nation-wide tour by an Indonesian
Shadow Puppeteer, Sumardi, presented by Cultural Infusion.

 

Sumardi is a highly acclaimed Indonesian shadow puppeteer who will be
traveling from Indonesia, his homeland, specifically for this tour.
Sumardi has earned the title of Master Puppeteer for this distinctly
Indonesian performance style in the most esteemed school of Puppetry in
Indonesia.

 

This amazing artist will take students through the myths and stories of
Indonesia with his versatile 2006 program!  During his 50 minute
interactive performance workshops Sumardi will lead the students through
stories of myth and legends, offering a wonderful insight into
Indonesian history and culture.  

 

The tour dates are as follows:  

 

NSW / ACT:  19 May 2006 - 30 June 2006

 

QLD:  11 July 2006 - 1 August 2006

 

WA:  4 August 2006 - 31 August 2006

 

SA:  4 September 2006  - 29 September 2006

 

VIC:  2 October 2006 - 20 October 2006

 

TAS:  23 October 2006 - 10 November 2006
