Dear all,

Are you a member of the MLTA?  As Indonesian teachers, we need a voice more
than ever!  We all (both the DET and non-DET teachers) recognise axing
Leonie's position as a consultant has left a HUGE hole!!

The MLTA is keen to represent teachers of Indonesian.  This year, the MLTA
supported the K-6 Indonesian writing competition (certificates and prizes),
a North Coast Indonesian camp (a subsidy), the Indonesian Gamelan
performance at Campbelltown and the Indonesian teachers workshop (Bahasa
Gaualan).  NO other language has been supported as much as Indonesian.

More importantly, however, the MLTA is keen to support teachers of
Indonesian with a political voice.  To this end, I strongly encourage you to
join the MLTA.  It costs $50 for full-time teachers and $35 for part-time
teachers. We will have a much louder voice if more of us are members.
