To anyone who has contacts with Indonesia 






I am writing to you as the Vice President of the Australian Cartoonists'
Association, a group that is trying to forge closer links with
cartoonists in neighbouring countries. 

At present we are assembling a collection of cartoons from both
Australia and Indonesia about the relationship between the two
countries. We want to exhibit them here and in Indonesia, and get
cartoonists and maybe politicians with a sense of humour from both
countries together, to the point of mutual visits that are to be filmed
for a documentary. 

I feel that cartoonists in both countries are often misinformed and
pander to popular bias in their respective countries. 

We need Indonesia experts to advice and support us. We are not asking
for money, just for contacts (or contacts that may lead to contacts) or
expressions of support. We will need venues for our exhibits and people
that come to openings, also speakers of Bahasa Indonesia that may have
links to Indonesian media. 

We're just cartoonists, and have no connections yet to universities or
any individuals and institutions that could help. If you think you can
be useful in any way, please contact me.
