At the end of March l informed NSW DET teachers that they could download
a new resource, Mari kita berbicara!  from TaLe. I am pleased to
announce that all teachers can now purchase the CD for $40. To order,

Mari kita berbicara is a series of learning objects that have been
designed to assist students develop their speaking skills in Indonesian.
The activities are set in Australia and reflect the personal world of
the students. MKB has been designed for use in all educational contexts,
including face-to-face lessons and distance education.

 

Content has been developed around the six topics (Keluarga, Waktu luang,
Studi dan pekerjaan, Liburan, Masyarakat, Masa depan) which reflect the
topics prescribed in the Board of Studies Stage 6 Beginners syllabus.
However teachers in other states will be able to easily incorporate the
activities into their programs.

 

Each topic contains a number of interactive activities which can be
completed in any order. In general, the earlier activities in each topic
will suit students in Year 11, and the later activities will suit
students in Year 12. A final section brings all the topics together and
provides students with advice about preparing for the HSC Speaking
examination.

Each topic contains a section for teachers with:

*         Links to the syllabus and syllabus outcomes

*         Links to Quality Teaching

*         Links to Intercultural Language Learning

*         Suggested offline activities

*         Additional resources, including links to web sites

*         Suggested strategies to assess students' speaking skills

*
