[Indonesian_open] Inside Indonesia now onlineWittman, Leonie Leonie.Wittman at det.nsw.edu.auTue Sep 25 08:16:14 EST 2007
Teman-teman yang baik As you know Inside Indonesia has changed from print form to online. The first edition in the format has been published. Please see message below from Ed Aspinall. Leonie Wittman ........................................................................ ........................................................................ ............................................................ After several months of planning, Inside Indonesia's new website is now open to the public at www.insideindonesia.org <http://au.groups.yahoo.com/group/insideindonesia/www.insideindonesia.or g> The website includes elements which will be familiar to readers of Inside Indonesia, as well as some new features. Our inaugural online-only edition (no. 90) includes: * Aceh: two years of peace. A collection of seven articles outlining the key achievements and challenges of the Aceh peace process. Highlights include articles by Edward Aspinall and Blair Palmer on the transformation of GAM, the Free Aceh Movement, as well as a moving piece by Jesse Grayman on the bad dreams experienced by conflict survivors. * Two articles on transgendered people, or waria, in contemporary Indonesia, including a beautiful photo essay by photographer Irfan Kortschak. * Other articles on television satire and inter-communal harmony in a remote village. Every three months a new collection of feature articles on a key theme in contemporary Indonesia will be posted on the site, marking the appearance of a new edition. But it's worth visiting regularly! New articles will be added to the "weekly articles" column every week. You can subscribe for free to receive regular email notifications of new material posted on the site. We hope you enjoy our new site. Our aim is to ensure that Inside Indonesia remains a unique source of in-depth analysis and insight into contemporary Indonesia. We look forward to receiving your feedback. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
