[Indonesian_open] Indonesian Language Teachers Associationheidi lindgren heidilindgren at yahoo.comMon Oct 22 13:31:59 EST 2007
Dear colleagues, A group of us met on Saturday to discuss many ideas we have for promoting Indonesian and collaborating to organize some events for our students. In a nutshell, these are: 1. Term 1, 2008 - A day at Sydney Uni for Indonesian students in Year 10 (before their subject selections) incorporating simple language lessons and guest speakers (people who have lived and worked in Indonesia, or perhaps ex exchange students). This is hoped to take place around the first week in April. 2. Conversation skills day in Term 3 (open to Years 10 - 12) with native speakers. 3. Cultural fun day for Years 6, 7 and 8 (20 students per school and must bring a teacher) in last week of Term 2, 2008 with Indonesian dance, music, sport, food and language lessons. 4. Teacher workshop to view recorded material and produce lessons based on these. 5. 2008 Trial HSC Paper. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN CONTRIBUTING AND BEING INVOLVED IN WRITING THIS PAPER (beginners, continuers or extension) PLEASE LET ME KNOW ASAP. Ida Harsojo has offered to coordinate this. We all agreed that at the moment, it would be best if ILTA comes under the organizational umbrella of the MLTA so please everybody join up if you haven't already (that means me!). If you have any thoughts on any of the above, please don't hesitate to contact me. Best regards and salam, Heidi __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam?
