Here is some information that will interest you and is an exciting
initiative of the Government of Indonesia that is hoping to forge
stronger links with Australia.

 

However the current DFAT warnings remain a barrier to many.

 

The Government of the Republic of Indonesia is offering the Darmasiswa
RI Scholarships for short course programmes in 2008 that aims to enhance
cultural links with students from participating nations.

 

Darmasiswa is a scholarship programme tailored for foreign students who
are interested in deepening their knowledge about Indonesia through
language, crafts and culture. The programme is designed for participants
who have a special interest in Indonesia in the form of a 'non-degree'
programme.

Applications close end of March 2008 for the course which start in
September

2008 to July 2009.
