Subject: Bagus kan start of year information

Hi all,
Hope you all survived the holidays, and are settling into the new year.
Bagus kan are still up and operational, and I will take this opportunity

to explain some changes for this year. The major change has been the
development of an Indonesian cultural performance entitled
"pen-tawasik", or pentas tari wayang dan musik. A performance of
Indonesian dance, shadow puppets and music, with music and dance from
Kalimantan, Sumatra, Bali, West and Central Java, and a shadow puppet
performance from Central Java. For more information go to the bagus kan
website www.baguskan.com.au and follow the links to pen-tawasik, or
contact us and we will send a brochure.
The usual array of workshops (gamelan, dance, Pencak silat, kendang
etc.) are still available as full-day incursions. We also continue to
supply many LOTE Indonesian teaching resources. This year's special is
the Indonesian usage guide "Kamus Ungkapan Indonesia-Inggris" hardcover.

$20.00 + GST, usually $35.00.
For more information on full-day incursions and resources also please
don't hesitate to contact us, ph/fax: (03)54392678, or refer to the web
page above.
Workshops with Aaron are available five days a week, however don't
forget that Nita teaches Indonesian at LaTrobe-Bendigo Monday and
Tuesday, and so is only available for workshops on Thursday and Friday.
As all the preparation for pen-tawasik will be done by Aaron,
pen-tawasik will be available on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Under
special circumstances Nita will be available for workshops on Wednesday
(especially if your school is not too far from Bendigo!!), however,
where possible we will try to make it on Thursday and Friday. The
exception to this rule is during non-lecture period at LaTrobe, 2nd June

- 18th July, and 27th Oct - 31st Dec.. During this period, Nita will be
available for workshops, and pen-tawasik will be available 5 days a
week.
Bagus kan also have a new email address, ie this one.

Hormat saya

Aaron Hall

PS. Let me know if you do not wish to receive group emails, however I
will keep them as infrequent as possible.
