Professional development program: Professional standards for
accomplished teaching of languages and cultures

 

Registrations and Expressions of Interest are invited from teachers of
languages at

Government, Catholic, Independent and Ethnic primary and secondary
schools in all states and

territories of Australia to participate in a supported professional
learning program focused on

the Professional Standards.

 

You will have the opportunity to participate in a national professional
development programme using

the Professional standards for accomplished teaching of languages and
cultures developed by the

AFMLTA as a framework to update and extend your knowledge and skills in
languages teaching.

 

Registration forms (for each state and territory) and further
information is available on the project web site at:
www.pspl.unisa.edu.au (see the 'Getting involved' section). Closing date
Monday 31 March 2008.

 

The AFMLTA together with the Research Centre for Languages and Cultures
Education at the

University of South Australia is developing and managing the
Professional Standards Project (PSP),

commissioned and funded by the former Australian Government Department
of Education, Science and

Training now called the Department of Education, Employment and
Workplace Relations (DEEWR).
