The AEF wishes to alert you to a wonderful opportunity for Australian
and Asia-Pacific educators to receive professional development.  I was
fortunate enough to receive an award in 2008.  My project will take me
to India to explore and extend the education relationship between India
and Australia, particularly building on the AEF's Linking Latitudes
India Conference.

The 2009 Endeavour Awards are funded by the Department of Education,
Employment and Workplace Relations is an internationally competitive,
merit-based program providing opportunities for citizens of the
Asia-Pacific region to undertake study, research and professional
development in Australia.  Awards are also available for Australians to
do the same abroad.  

The Endeavour Awards provide individuals with a unique opportunity to
take the next step in their academic or professional career. 

The Endeavour Executive Awards would be of great interest to senior
educators/administrators, principals and school leaders as these
provides great opportunities for professional learning.  For example, a
principal/school leader could travel to their sister school or a range
of schools in China to explore the education system, school/curriculum
change into the future and look for opportunities for collaboration and
exchange.  The Awards benefits include a monthly stipend, establishment
expenses and a travel allowance.  Awardees can apply for a 1 to 4 month
program between January and November 2009.  Applicants must have the
support of their employer and a host organisation in-country.

Closing date for applications is July 31, 2008
