Vacancy for Science Teacher with Maths - Lombok, Indonesia

Sekolah Nusa Alam is a small and growing school which has been catering
for the international and Indonesian community in Lombok since 2000.
Situated on the west coast of the beautiful island of Lombok, east of
Bali in Indonesia, Nusa Alam is a bilingual (English and Indonesian)
'national plus' school with a roll of just over a hundred children from
Preschool to Secondary. 

 

We are seeking a fully qualified Science teacher to teach up to A level
Sciences (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) in the Cambridge International
Examination programme.

 

This is a full time teaching position with responsibility for the
English speaking part of the curriculum for Secondary students and for
supporting the team of national and international secondary and primary
teachers in the teaching of Science.

Details of the contract, salary and benefits will be sent to candidates
who are short listed.

Minimum Qualifications:

*	Science degree and full teaching qualification 
*	Willing to teach Mathematics to at least IGCSE level

It would also be an advantage to have:

*	Some Indonesian language skills

Selection criteria:

*	A sound understanding of pedagogy
*	A high standard of teaching practice 
*	A commitment to professional development
*	Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*	An attitude of acceptance and respect for a diverse school
culture
*	Strong team player

The vacancy, due to school expansion, will be preferably from July 2009
or a soon as possible thereafter, or from January 2010
