Hello Rappers,

Thanks for the interesting emails last week and a special welcome to some new schools.

It's great that you are READiscovering & writing such creative responses about Home. We are ready to receive more about Rap Point 1 this week from various schools. 

I saw a dark grey bird on the Frodocam but as he was facing away from me I couldn't quite tell if it was a peregrine falcon. But I really enjoyed looking at the past videos of the birds and their chicks. 

I leave a computer on in the library all day showing the webcam so that we can keep an eye out for Frodo.

How did your Rap Sheets go? Did you discover the literary devices that the author had used? I wonder which school will be first to send some completed, colourful Rap Sheets for our gallery? 4J20 & 4Y12 at Cambridge Park are doing theirs online, working with thesauruses and sketching or inserting clipart graphics. Hopefully you will see them soon.

We have 2 weeks to READiscover and investigate Rap Point 2, exploring your natural environment and that of Leaf litter: exploring the mysteries of a hidden world . To get the most from this point go to the Program and Planning Activities and begin investigating with Activity 1.

We are looking forward to seeing some samples of the Rap Sheet that recreates your own leaf litter area.  Please email them to Cath.keane at det.nsw.edu.au
