Subject: [Readiscover07_rap] Rap Point 1 from Year 3 rappers at Penrith PS

Hello again everyone!

We enjoyed hearing the book "Home" again today, but this time without seeing the pictures. One of us had never seen the book before, so she was very surprised to learn how much bigger the peregrine falcons were than she imagined.

Some of us pictured a green, hilly, mountain scene, filled with hissing snakes and flocks of honking geese. The nest of stones was in a real cliff face.

Down in the water, an octopus or jellyfish was the creature with many legs. (One of us pictured in his mind a fantasy water serpent creature, but he has a very good imagination from all the reading he does!)

Frodo looked down at all the strange animals, far below, walking on their two back legs. They were moving their front legs from side to side as they walked, and they were covered with black fur on the top of their heads.Frodo heard a noise overhead and saw a wriggling thing flying through the air (a sky-writing plane). Then there was another, with many wings on its back, spinning around (a helicopter). Suddenly Frodo saw something he'd not noticed before: a round object (the Frodocam lens) and inside it was another male peregrine falcon! It copied everything that Frodo did, and Frodo thought that it had come to fight him for the right to mate with Freda.

Your Year 3 friends from Penrith PS.

By the way, we checked out Frodocam today but Frodo and Freda must have been off hunting for food. All we saw was the empty nest of stones. Mr McLean and Year 4 were lucky last week because Frodo came right up to the camera lens and peered at it, inspiring our story that we wrote (above).
