Dear rappers,
Mrs Morgan read us "Home" in the Library last week and we thought the falcons were trying to find a new site somewhere else in the bush. We imagined a place high in the mountains near a river or the sea and we thought the big thing in the sky was probably a plane or perhaps a bigger predator. We thought there would be big valleys and the falcon's new nest would be high on a real cliff overlooking the sea. We also imagined the creature with many legs to be a surf boat like we see at surf carnivals at Coffs Harbour.
When we saw the pictures we realised how clever Narelle Oliver was in writing the book and our teacher Mrs Grodzicki liked the metaphors and similes throughout the text. Mrs Morgan showed us Frodocam and that was awesome to know the falcons had nested there since 2005. We didn't see Freida but another class later this week saw her land on the ledge and then look like she might lay an egg! Mrs Morgan is going to leave Frodocam on all day now.
Bye for now,
Year 4 rappers from Narranga.
