Welcome to the
Beijing Olympic Games & Book Week 2008 rap
This is a book and event discussion conducted online
This rap is available in Term 3, 2008. It focuses on Stage 2 and Stage 3 outcomes in the English K–6 syllabus and the PDHPE K–6 syllabus.
The rap will focus on developing a healthy, active lifestyle using the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games as a stimulus. It will have a Book Week 2008 link through related English activities using aspects of The Shaggy Gully Times: the f(p)unniest newspaper you’ll ever read, by Jackie French and Bruce Whatley, as a starting point. Students will create an article for the sports section of a newspaper for Rap point 3.
