A model for explicit teaching of an information report


 

The model currently being used in NSW Department of Education and Training support material follows.

A model for explicit teaching involves:

Building the field while:

  • determining and activating prior knowledge
  • modelling and demonstrating the expectation
  • providing guided practice, including joint construction
  • working towards independent demonstration, including independent construction.
