Rap
introductions
During this week, rappers send a short, introductory message
about their class or group to the rap. In order to prepare the message,
discuss the information that you would like to include in your class
introductory message. For example, you might identify some information
about:
- your class
- the location
of the school in relation to other places in the local area
- what you are looking
forward to most about the Commonwealth Games.
Send the message
to the rap when the final text has been approved by the teacher.
After reading the introductions sent to the rap by other schools,
your class may wish to record the locations of these schools on
a printed rap
map.

Explain to the students that they will be examining web sites and
a variety of information sources to research information about the
Commonwealth Games.
Inform the students that the rap will involve using the Internet and
email. Email will be used to share information and knowledge with

etiquette such as how to complete the subject line, ensuring the
correct email address and formatting of the message.
Once the final message has been approved, ask a class representative(s)
or Rap Rep to post the email to the rap.
