Dear colleagues
Information on how
to send student responses to the rap
All rap responses
should be sent in the body of the email to the rap not as an attachment.
The reason for this is the problem of viruses being sent inadvertently
to all members of the Rap.
We do want to showcase
a selection of student work and so we have established a Gallery
for this purpose.
How to send your creations for publishing in the Gallery on this book
rap
Files can be attached
to your email and sent as word documents or scanned images. Gif or jpg
images of approximately 72 dpi are preferable to tiff because of size.
Please do not send
these files to the teacher or student rap. Send them directly to bill.gillespie@det.nsw.edu.au
If you are sending
the work of your class group, there is no need for a permission note to
be sent. If you wish to send work by an individual student(s), it must
be accompanied by a permission slip signed by the student and their carer.
If you need a permission slip, please send your request and details to
bill.gillespie@det.nsw.edu.au
and I will fax or email you the form (please nominate your preferred option).
This could be a good
time to introduce copyright issues to your students. For example, all
work must be the original work of the students.
When you send your
work, please include the following details:
- the name of the
student or class group who created the work. Full names of students
will not be published on the Internet;
- the name of your
school;
- the signed Permission
to publish form (for individual student work only);
If you want your
originals returned, please include a large, addressed envelope.
A selection of student
work will be published in the Gallery.
If you
prefer to send your creations in hard copy, (with accompanying permission
slip as appropriate) please mail them to:
