Read and enjoy the texts in My People, my place, in order to respond to Rap point 1.

Ask your parents or grandparents:

  1. Why is our cultural background important? Why do we need to know about it?
  2. Tell me some messages for living a good life that our culture says are important.
Post your class response to the rap blog once your teacher has approved the final message. Your class might wish to respond to the comments from other rappers via the rap blog.
