Email - Instruction sheet for students

How to read your email from disk
  1. To avoid loss, save and close down all other programs. All that is showing is your desktop.

  2. Put your email disc in the drive.

  3. Double click on the Netscape icon.

  4. When the box appears, click on OK

  5. Wait until Netscape loads, so that your screen changes to the Internet browser.

  6. Click OK in the box in the middle of the screen (it is looking for a modem and will operate without one).

  7. Click on the envelope icon at the bottom right hand corner.

  8. Click OK when prompted.

  9. Click the folder on the left hand side that you want to open.

  10. The mail in this folder appears on the right hand side. Click the mail message you want to read.

  11. The message appears on the bottom part of the screen. Scroll using the bar at the right to read it all.

  12. Close the mail package by clicking the X in the top corner.

  13. Close Netscape by clicking the X in its top corner. You should now be back at your desktop.

Happy emailing!
