In addition to an excellent core curriculum there are specialist teachers for Italian, Physical Education and Library. Optional programs include Chess, Band, Swimming, Tennis, Computer and Dance. Parent involvement is highly valued. Parents are involved in classroom activities and in supporting students and teachers by assisting in the school's educational programs. The school's caring environment is enhanced by an effective peer support program. The school community has developed our Mission Statement which is reviewed regularly and states "Double Bay Public School's mission is to provide an education which highlights equity and excellence, gives preparation for a changing world and which recognises the worth of each individual".
