North Wagga Public School is situated on the outskirts of the city of Wagga Wagga. It services the North Wagga suburb, the Estella housing estate and the surrounding rural areas. In 2000 only local and sibling enrolments were accepted owing to the school reaching its enrolment ceiling, and it seems most likely that this will continue into the future. The school is housed in old brick, weatherboard and demountable accommodation. Some buildings date back to 1881. Application has been made for demountable accommodation to be replaced with more permanent buildings. The school has extensive grounds with a large amount of gardens and shade provided by trees. A recent addition to the school is a large Covered Outdoor Learning Space (COLA) area which enables the school to congregate for assemblies and doubles as an all weather sports court. The school has strong parent and community support. This has provided extensive resources, especially in literacy, the COLA and a lot of 'in-class' support, both people and materials.
