Stewart House consists of a government school and a statutory health corporation operating together on the one site at South Curl Curl. Stewart House School provides a unique service for 90 students referred by the public school system from across NSW and the ACT each fortnight. The School provides an education program to assist with the development of the emotional, psychological, physical and educational needs of visiting students and an excursion program to enable students to see the tourist sites of Sydney.

The New South Wales Department of Education and Communities support students with disability and additional learning and support needs in public schools in a range of ways. This may include specialist support classes for students in regular and special schools; the Integration, Funding Support program which provides targeted funding for eligible students; and learning and support resourcing.
