The Sutherland Hospital School is a P-12 facility providing educational services within the Children's Ward of Sutherland Hospital for children from 3-18 years. The students are predominantly from southern Sydney and are hospitalised through illness, accident, disease, trauma, for medical procedures and for psychological or social reasons. Children attend the Hospital school on a daily basis for periods ranging from several days to several months. The school aims to provide continuity of quality education to school students who are hospitalised whilst offering support to students and families and ensuring a smooth transition to regular schools.
