Sylvania High School is a co-educational comprehensive high school with a commitment to academic rigour and the extension of all students to achieve personal excellence. The focus of the school is on learning and our aim is to build a school community where life long learning is valued by students, parents and staff. Student success is celebrated in a positive climate designed to raise self esteem and support the aspirations of the school community. We are committed to a planned and integrated Student Welfare Program that focuses on the individual needs of each child in a nurturing and supportive smaller school context. A democratically elected Student Representative Council provides a forum for student concerns and vision to be integrated into whole school planning. The Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) and the School Council strongly support the school in partnership with teachers to collaboratively influence the future directions of Sylvania High.
