Mona Vale Public School is situated in grassy, well maintained grounds with extensive areas for playing. The school has a strong emphasis on academic achievement, especially in literacy and numeracy. Student welfare programs including a discipline code and peer support program have a high priority. Excellent programs are provided for gifted and talented students as well as students who have special needs. A feature of the school is the music program which includes three bands and two choirs, comprising over two hundred students. The computer education program has been enlarged with the acquisition of additional computers. Sporting programs for all students receive a high priority.
