St Johns Park Public School celebrated its Centenary in 1991. It is located in the Fairfield District in the South Western Area of Sydney. It is a Disadvantaged Schools Program (DSP) School, populated by students from widely varying socio-economic and cultural backgrounds and has become an integral part of the community. The DSP program is an equity program focused on improving student learning outcomes, particularly in literacy and numeracy. The School's Mission Statement was developed by teachers and community members. It states that: 'By implementing strategies for effective school management and endeavouring to meet the needs of all children with an emphasis on remedial and extension programs we will ensure the development of competent and useful citizens, who will take a purposeful place in society, recognising their responsibilities and respecting the rights and feelings of others.'
